M·A·C x Celia Kritharioti
Celia speaking about the collaboration with M·A·C
From my first steps as a fashion designer, I always relied on M·A·C for the makeup of my shows. M·A·C was also the first make up brand I used for my personal makeup. Either backstage or in a photo shooting, M·A·C always stood by my side as a partner, completing the final look.
Working with M·A·C in a variety of ways over the years I have always loved their products and their people. They are professionals with a great expertise in fashion. They contribute to the success of all the shows I have done around the world.
I was so excited when they approached me to do a collaboration on a project working over my favorite lipstick shade CRAVING and I was honored to be asked to design a special packaging for my all-time favorite M·A·C product!
Why I chose Craving? It’s simple, it takes me back to the age of innocence when we had flushed cheeks and bitten lips. It’s a color that fits all seasons and it is easy to wear with all looks.
The name itself (Craving) represents the desire and the aspiration to kiss the lips that are wearing it!
I love this color! I wear it all the time!!!
I got inspired from 2 symbols of femininity, legs and lips. They are both features of women’s beauty and unique personality!
I wanted to design something that is playful and youngish.
I wanted to keep it simple and classy with a girly approach, showing lips and legs playing around like they are doing an actual catwalk and of course wearing my favorite Craving M·A·C lipstick!
If I could bring backstage my top 5 M·A·C products (besides Craving) my all-time favorites would definitely be M·A·C Cream Colour Base in Hush and Strobe Cream that create a natural glow look, giving an extra freshness to the face. I also love using Soar Lip Pencil, M·A·C Extended Play Lash mascara and Spiked brow pencil to enhance the eyes. I think if you open my beauty case you will see that my makeup routine is very simple. Creamy textures and my favorite lipstick Craving!
This is the makeup look we created with M·A·C for my recent SS17 Haute Couture fashion show!
Thank you M·A·C you are just Fab!
